I fully support the establishment of a statewide Fairness law that would protect people from discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodations based on perceived sexual orientation and gender identity.

In fact, 83% of registered voters in Kentucky agree that gay and transgender people should be protected from discrimination in the workplace, in housing, and in restaurants or other forms of public accommodations.

If we are to be competitive in the 21st Century economy, then we need to wake up and realize that discrimination is bad for business, it pushes us further behind, it does nothing to help diversify our economy and it is a poor reflection on our state. And just as importantly, it hurts far too many people in District 41.
